Breast Cancer Follow Up

Would it be better to be followed up by a General Medical Onconlogist or a Genetic Specialised Medical Oncologist post my chemo, and surgeries.

Dear MissyMouse, Usually it would be the medical oncologist who would follow up someone who has been treated for breast cancer.  Sometimes the follow-up alternates between the breast surgeon and medical oncologist, depending on the patient situation as well as the facility resources.  A medical genetics specialist, may be consulted in terms of counseling family members regarding screenings, follow-up, and prevention.

It would make most sense to be followed by the doc who did the chemo treatments, which ever that was.
