Masterbation and techniques

by hello10, Jan 25, 2007 12:00AM
I have masterbated for a couple of years and recently have been getting better at it. I usually lie down in my bed and think of having sex. I start rubbing my breasts, removing one piece of clothing at a time until all i have on is my underwear. i spread my legs wide and rub my vagina and hump on my vagina open and close legs until reach orgasm. recently i feel the need to do this once a day. is this dangerous? should i keep doing it? does anyone have better techniques?

I think its great. Masturbation is a wonderful way to learn about your sexuality and find out what pleases you.
You don't have to do it just one way however.  You can find out more about what pleases you  by doing it in the nude, putting some lubricant on your fingers, and finding out how responsive your clitoris and vaginal entry and lips are. A lot of women feel that their most intense orgasms come from direct touch and stroking of the clitoris, or using a dildo or a finger inside of themself.
Try several techniques and see what you think. You might take a look at  Lonnie Barbach's book- For Yourself for some additional ideas!

It's not dangerous.  Masturbation is healthy & normal.

It's not at all dangerous and perfectly normal, in fact masturbating will give you a better idea of how your potential mates can please you themselves later on.  There are myriad techniques you can use, but the best one is just to go with what works, and it sounds like you've found something that does.  So have at it!

just keep on... it's just normal.  it's also helpful in relieving stress and other things that bother you.

lol, it's great to know I'm not the only one! I even had a friend (who had never masturbated or had sex) express concern about doing it once a day. But from people who are more comfortable with their sexuality, once a day can be the norm. You've nothing to worry about. Just keep being hygenic about it, and enjoy the sexual high while you're on it :)

Well, thanks guys. just wanted to let you know i just had real sex a couple of nights, ago with this dude. It totally helps to masterbate before hand. you really know what you like and all, now i am worried the guy got me pregnant. i don't know if i should take a test or not. i am really petrified. i mean we had a whole lot of orgasms and stuff like that. help!

you didnt use protection? are you young? you really should stick to doing yourself im sorry to say.

by mami2karina, Jan 29, 2007 12:00AM
If you think he got you pregnant it's too soon to test.  Wait until 10 days past if that's negative wait another 10 days and re-test if it's still negative then you're not pregnant.  And if you have sex again, use protection if you don't want to get pregnant.

I lost wife recently. My age 58 yrs. I was advised for masturbation to get sex relief. What are the techniques recommended, is it safe to practice, any other alternates? I get ejaculation with dreams. How to stop? Pl. advise.

that's really nice that you know how to hump yourself! great visual too. good luck with that. as for being pregnant, if you are so worried maybe you should use birth control.

its strange to me that at 58 you have to ask what techniques to use. its different for everyone. im sorry about the loss of your wife, im sure its very hard to deal with. there are probably some great books out there that would not only occupy your time, but give you some great info .

I have not had a sexual partner in over 2 years. Masterbation is my choice to satisfaction. I don't worry about STD or unwanted pregenancies.

Well, thanks to all those who wrote back. I am officially not pregnant and broke up with that boyfriend. I am sticking to masterbating on my own until I think I am ready to get married. anyway, I was extremely horny last night and I just find that when I masterbate, the climax to the orgasm is long, but the orgasm is short which is annoying. Is there a way to stretch out that orgasm or to get another orgasm. I also read recently that masterbating makes you tired. Is that dangerous to the body? Write back with any new tecniques or ideas to make my masterbating sex life better!!!!! Oh yeah!!!

try masturbating with a plastic bag on your head (wear a plastic bag on your head).

or tie your neck with a belt.
