viagra use

by ReadingDave, May 09, 2007 12:00AM
hi I have been taking viagra for a few years now, my g/f lives in Thailand, I am on blood pressure medication, but my doctor says that this is fine, however just recently I have been diagnosed with slightly high chorlestrial(5.5) in my blood, now I am on a course of simvastatin 10mg tablets,
can you tell me if it is safe to continue using viagra while on these pills?
I am going to thailand next week so I would appreciate your advice.

In general, you need to listen to your regular doctor. On the other hand, I would never do anything consequential without a second opinion BY AN EXAMINING doctor. While Viagra has proved extremely safe for most men- you are now in a situation where you are having several medications and you need someone who can tell you if there are interaction effects.

One thing you might ask your doctor. Some men find Viagra effective on half a pill.  You might ask your doctor if this would be the safest course of action for you.  You definitely need on an site doctor, however, to give you sound advice.
