worried

Ok, so within the past week, i have noticed this little red mark on my perineum. It's no clusters, no blisters, no puss, no bleeding, no anything. But it hurts if like, a little bit of pee gets on it. If I were to like aim correctly, the actual act of urinating doesn't hurt when it comes out my vagina. i went to the doctor yesterday and she says it doesn't follow the classic symptoms of herpes but took a culture nonetheless. I mean i wear a lot of thongs and it looks like maybe there was just some rubbing going on that led to this redness? The doctor agreed that it just looked raw. There were no other legions, no clusters of blisters or anything. Doesn't itch, I mean i'm still nervous nonetheless because I've never had to worry about anything like this before. i have no idea what's going on. It happened like tuesday, after i had started this new medication my dermatilogist gave me. I take spin classes a lot so maybe it's that. It's on my perineum, not on my vagina or butt. Any suggestions. Oh, i have been using neosporin and it helps alot. just nervous!!! HELP!!!

Your best expert is your doctor- not someone who is just reading about your raw genital area! If you are still worried, go back and see your doctor  again--or see a new doctor for a second opinion. There is no way to get an accurate reading on this kind of sore area except from a medical doctor who examines you.
