Low sex drive at age 28

by SHALA, Jun 26, 2007 12:00AM
I'm 28 years of age and had a child 2 and a half years ago. Since then my sex drive is extremely low. As of recently sexual intercourse is very painful when it does happen. I also have a hormonal disorder. I have to constantly be on birth control pills. Can the two be related?

The two probably are related. I am not a medical doctor but I think you should go see a hormone specialist- an endocrinologist and see if they can find out how your sex drive is being affected. Birth control pills affect quite a few women's sexual desire and depress their arousal. You might see if there is a lower dose birth control pill that won't affect your sexual response so much.  In any case, tell your doctor this is your problem and you need some help solving it. If your present doctor doesn't feel qualified to help you , go to a specialist, certainly an endocrinologist, but ask your doctor if he or she feels you should see someone who is also a specialist in sexual medicine.

While reading thru some of the topics in this forum, I can identify with the low sex drive, no desire and unsure of ever having an orgasm.  I keep seeing Sentia pills come up.  Anyone know where they can be purchased?  Can I walk into a drug store and ask the parmacist.
