Problem after getting upper lip waxed

by sarahc555, Aug 03, 2007 01:06PM
I recently went to a new place and had my upper lip waxed for the first time. I will definitely never go to this place again - I was burned by the wax and not have a burn mark right above my upper lip, right in the middle under my nose. Ouch!

I am really worried that this is going to scar. This happened Wednesday, and I was using Neosporin up until this morning (Friday) when I called my dermatologist; she said do not use Neosporin, use Vasoline.

So now I am worried that I was useing the wrong thing in the critical 48 hours after the burn, and now am just REALLY hoping it doesnt scar.

Thanks for the post above, countryrose. Your story is encouraging. I hope mine goes away, as well.

Does anyone have any ideas on anything I can do to prevent scarring @ this point? Thanks.
