Xanax withdrawal

by Chuck333, Nov 07, 2005 12:00AM
I have been taking xanax for about 3 weeks then I started reading about how addictive this can be. I started taking  1mg once a day at night to help me sleep. The last 3 days I have been taking .5 mg and last night I took .25 . I don't know if I have been on this long enough to have withdrawal symptons but am not taking any chances . So I am tryin to ween myself off. Does anyone here have any advice

You probably won't have any problems if you stay on that lowest dose for about another week and then stop, but if you want to make absolutely sure, add another week with that dose every other day, then stop.
