Hi, My five yr old daughter, Katelyn, has recently been diagnosed with Tourette's. I am dumbfounded. I can't imagine how something like this came up. It all started with rapid blinking one yr ago. I took her to the pediatrician and nothing was done. So, I took her to an opthamalogist, she was given eye drops for dry eyes. That went away in about 4 months. Then she started jerking her wrists and complaining of pain in her fingers. I took her back to pediatrician 4 times and was sent away everytime with no answers. I was told I was crazy, or that she was making up things for attention. It progressed to her jaw and now to her legs. I persistently took her to see the docs and finally they would "appease" me and get xrays of her legs. While there the radiologist xrayed her hands and found she is underdeveloped by 2 years. The Ped. Neurologist says she has tourret's and is doing a seizure study in 2 days. She also is going to see endocrinologist for delay in bone growth. Otherwise, she is a normal FIESTY 5 yr. old with a 30 yr. old attitude!!! Any comments I can take with me to docs? Please I am only 26 and really confused!!!

She'd make sure to take a sack full of "I'm the Boss" to the doctor with her.
My mom didn't start getting action or answers until she started "putting her foot down."
