red bump on vaginal area

I recently had some pain during sex, on the right side of my vaginal entrance? i thought that it was just my sons father pushing on my scar from when i tore when i had him....but then, a few days ago, found a red bump, that hurts a little if i touch it, and makes my vaginal area feel wierd, kind of itchy, but not exactly an itch.......the bump doesnt gradually rise, its about 1/4 of an inch in diameter, and an 1/8 of an inch high, theres only one, to the right, and slightly above my vaginal entrance, im really worried that it might be herpes....although its not a sore, its not open, anyone know what else it could be, i already have a dr. apt. for jan. 9th, but i dont wanna worry that long.thanks.

i do shave, but thats not what it is. this is bigger, and its more like, uh, how do i explian, its like, the part of your clit that follows down to your vaginal opening, its right there...and when i went to get out of bed this morning, it hurt real bad, and it got a little bigger, and I tried to squeeze it, and nothing, it wont pop..i really do think its herpes....

Personal question, but do you shave in that area? A lot of times it is an ingrown hair. Don't worry.

i have a line of bumprs trailing from my labia to my vaginal opening, my cousin said she had the same thing, is that normal?
