Hi my Mom is currently under going a clinical trial for MORAB 003 (antibodies) for her slow rising ca-125. She has a clear CT scan of pelvis/abdomen/chest. Her pattern of rise is 5-7 points every 2-4 weeks. So its not too high and obviously slow growing cancer cells. Now, 3 days ago when she began her clinical trial they drew her blood for ca-125 (47) and its up from last weeks ca-125 (34) by 13 points. So in a week it jumped up the highest in such a short time period. BUT 2 days ago she came down with a cold, backache, chest congestion, headache.
So my question is could this high jump be due to the cold. I know its not that much but looking at the patter of her ca-125 rise, the past few months it only been at the highest 7 point jump and in 2-4 week spam. Actualy her second to last ca-125 which was drawn previously in a two week period went up only by 2 points (32 up to 34 in a 2 week period) Now this 13 points in a one week period. We have our hopes that this small recurrence is not aggresive and could be delayed by this trial. I know you can realy see the results only in one treatment but Im more concerned as to why the rise of 13 points in a week.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
