Neck lift with morphea scleroderma?

by pigeonca, Jul 08, 2007 12:00AM
I have a turkey wattle on my neck but otherwise look much younger than my age, so I figured getting a neck lift would be the way to go, because I'm not quite ready (if ever) to have a full facelift.  However, I have morphea on my torso and legs, which is rather disfiguring, so I'm worried that it might complicate matters.  Do you think it would be safe to have my neck done?  Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

While I have performed surgery on aptients with scleroderma, I do not know if I can predict the outcome of a necklift for you.  While I think you can probably undergo the surgery, there may be some healing risks that affect the outcome.  If you undergo the surger, you should be prepared to accept a less than perfect result.
