Healing from Breast Augmentation

by wlmakeit586, Jul 12, 2007 12:00AM
hi,

A week and a half ago, I had a breast implant put into my rigt breast and a mastopexy which is a lift on the left.
Now, I still have pain in the right breast. I went to get my stitches out the week after, but the nurse said i need to keep them in the left breast vertical incision. I am worried that it's not going to get better by the looks of it.

Also, having to wear a sports bra makes it very hard to wear normal clothing when I go, seeing as how it is summer. It's getting very frustrating. I cannot go out or do anything I want to. anyone else feel like this? PLease help!!

Thank you!

After only one to two weeks after surgery, it is still very early in the healing process.  It takes a minimum of one or more months for tissues to relax and mature before some semblance of ultimate shape will appear.  Be very patient with the healing process.  If you remain concerned about the results of your procedure, speak directly with your surgeon about your issues.  The final results of your procedure will likely take four or more months before you can really assess its success.
