I had surgery a couple years ago to repair a 4th degree tear from childbirth. I am doing great but whenever I have a bowel movement I have to return to the bathroom 2-3 times in order to feel clean. If I happen to go several times in one day I will become extremely uncomfortable and irritated. I go through tons of toilet paper and those cottonelle whipes. Any suggestions? Thanks

If this is post defecation fecal urgency, then you may benefit from evaluation by a urogynecologist or colorectal specialist, who will evaluate your anal sphincter, look for a rectovaginal fistula,  as well as your pelvic floor function. They may be able to offer you some helpful remedies.
