What is the recovery time (off work) for posterior colporrhaphy and perineorrhaphy.  I am 45 years old, with no other health problems and 10 years post-hysterectomy.  I work as a secretary and sit 8 hours a day.

I usually tell my patients to expect to be out for 6 weeks, but that is my outside limit and includes abdominal surgery.

For your planned surgery, I think 4 weeks might be more realistic if your surgery is uncomplicated. Remember, that your bottom will be sore for 2-3 weeks, so you may not be able to sit for long periods of time initially.
