sarcoidosis and sick or a cold

My husband has sarcoidosis. We do not know much about this, but he seems to be coming down with a cold. Do we treat this as we normally would or do we call the doctor right away as I do he can become very sick more eaily

Since your husband has sarcoidosis, anytime he has breathing problems, you should call his doctor sooner rather than later. Do not assume it is just a cold, unless his symptoms are only upper respiratory. Your threshold for calling the doctor should be low, especially if your past experience has been that your husband becomes sick "more easily" as you state. There is no harm in calling if it is only a cold. However there could be definite harm if this proves to be more than a cold and you do not call.
