Chest discomfort

by Jam111in, Mar 09, 2007 12:00AM
Hello,

Three weeks back I got exposed to skin irritant fumes. Since then I am suffering from light burning sensation in chest. My chest X-ray looked normal. Currently  I am undergoing treatment with steroid inhalation powder. Even after two weeks of inhalation treatment, burning sensation is present. What are thediagnosis and treatment methods for this problem?

Thanks,

Jam

You may have inflamed the lining of your lungs, similar to other irritant exposures such as chlorine and smoke.  Using an inhaled steroid to control the inflammation is an appropriate therapy.
