The most likely cause of this sensation is anxiety.  It often occurs in association with the feeling of a need to yawn or take a deep breath.  This is not the kind of symptom that one experiences with diseases of the lungs.  You should probably have a chest x-ray to be sure there is no physical problem with your lungs, but you should also speak with your doctor and give thought to what might be on your mind that could cause you to worry or be nervous.
