No one is looking to "prove" anything.
And, yes, most women who have period-like bleeding at regular intervals realize that it is NOT an actual period -- no ovulation, no complete shedding of the uterine lining, blah, blah, blah, blah.
People on this site are looking for information, shared experiences and support...not medical degrees. Technically it is not a period, but when used here it is rather to denote bleeding that falls in a "normal" cycle and/or often occurs for a "normal" length -- and is more than just spotting. While not usual, it does happen to some women. And "normal" is to refer to what is typical for that person...but I think you knew all of this when you posted.
So hopefully that clears you up so that you can move onto bigger and better things.
