You need to go to an endo dr because the the OB does not check for T3 or T4T4 test or free T4T4 test they only check for TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh. It is very important to do this every three to four weeks. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh was fine according to my Dr. and then I went to an endo. dr. and he said it was off. 8 weeks is not to soon to test!!
I would ask him to check you every couple weeks.
You should have had it checked already.
You will probably have to ask him to do it.
He may be assuming that you have an endocronologist taking care of it.

Yes Mandy you should have your levels checked ASAP, remember to have him check T3, T4, Free T3 and Free T4, as well as TSH.
Also you might find that during your pregnancy your "thyroid issue" fixes itself, remember this is only temporary! And it is extremely important to stay on your medications and to keep your levels in the right place to both you and your baby.
