bump in jaw and migraines

by Lilone281, Aug 20, 2007 08:49AM
I have had TMJ for about 9 years now.  I have tried every possible treatment including surgery, which did not work.  I recently noticed a pea-sized bump on my jaw right next to my ear.  I also have one on the other side but it is not as big.  The one on my left side is painful and for the past three days I have been having the worst migraines ever.  Do you know what this bump is and why it is swollen?  Could it be causing the migraines?  My TMJ specialist is the only one in my area and I am so not happy with him.  I need help badly!
