Sinus drainage

Each morning and all through the day i spit up thick mucus. I have it in the back of my throat and can spit it up at will. (sorry to soud so graphic). This has in the past affected my breath. How do i stop postnasal drip? What can i do to stop the terrible taste and smell that has been associated with this condition?

You need to have your nose examined.  You may have a chronic infection, causing the bad taste and smell, that needs to be treated with an antibiotic.
