Could cholecystectomy (lap) cause gastroparesis.  Had GB removed-fine for 3 weeks, then developped gastroparesis.  Cause?  Not diabetic.  Have had EGD and GAstric emptying, MRCP.

just wondering if u ever resolved your symptoms. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis several months ago and just had the gallbladder removed last week.  Should have gone home that afternoon and was in hospital for one week with tube down nose into stomach empyting intestines.  Was bloated where I looked 6 months pregnant.  Doctor said the stress from the surgery could have brought back the gastroparesis.  I had been on domperidone and reglan for a couple of months and it had gotten better.  Day after surgery was very serious.  Actually came home and was rushed back to ER the next morning with bloating and blockage.  Been home for 4 days and can't even look at food.  Just growing again.  I am also not diabetic.  I had gastric emptying but not MRCP, what is that?
