blockage after bladder resection

by Louisa5, Aug 30, 2007 11:53AM
I'd be grateful to learn if anyone knows how to avoid blockage by a blood clot after a bladder resection.  I've had one secondary haemorrhage which seemed to produce the clot ? and I had to be re-catheterised to let out the blood and the urine.  Before the haemorrhage, the urine had run clear.  The resection was a week ago.  Might cranberry juice or aloe vera juice or some such thing help avoid another clot?  Many thanks for any help.

Hi,
Secondary hemorrhage has reported by you could be due to washing out of any  adherent blood clot. There is no need to worry about.
Kindly do take plenty of fluids regularly. Usually about 10 to 14 days is sufficient for blood clots to disappear.
