Thank you for your comments. I am just so tired of not knowing what is wrong with me.  I am on 0.625 mg and seem to do fine on that when it comes to nighsweats and such.  It's the other stuff that I just can't seem to figure out.

Thanks Dana

Be careful about your Premarin dose.  In some instances, estrogen has been shown to cause strokes.  Also, after my complete hysterectomy many years ago, I was put on Premarin.  I was having so many problems with the hotflashes, etc. that they kept increasing the doses.  I got up to .9.. in the morning and 1.25 in the evening. Then, I not only had hotflashes but I was having trouble with depression, feeling like there were bugs crawling on me at night (my husband was patient. He kept a can of bug spray next to him and we would tear the bed apart.  Of course, to no avail.)  I was having trouble getting around.  It was a mess.  I was in the beauty shop one day and heard a woman say that she had quit taking Premarin because of the side effects.  I started decreasing mine (I've been at .3 mg for years) and all those nasties went away.  Still had the hotflashes but I (kinda) got used to them and I had them with the Premarin anyway.
The upshot is, see if your doc thinks the Premarin could be the culprit.  I understand that in recent years there are many alternatives.

Stress is a possibility, but if you truly had nystagmus with slurred speech I would be concerned about a number of things including an inner ear infection (labyrinthitis) leading to vertigo like symptoms. A more serious disease is called paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration which occurs with hidden gynecologic cancers. This will not whow up on MRI and needs ot be evaluated with a blood test for anti-yo antibodies. Talk to your neurologist about this who should recognize these objective findings on exam. Depression and stress are always considerations, but only if everythig else has been ruled out. GOod luck.
