29 y/o male first experience left arm and leg weakness last summer few episodes..now i have it basicly every day maybe 5 or so episodes a day with RIGHT sided facial tingling occinaly a litlle pain in the left arm and leg..but only rarely..sometimes feel a little sick ..was in stroke unit ..normal MRI..MRA showed slight narrowing of right internal carotid(may represent artifact) ..left anterior cerebral tortuous...right AICA is prominent...Neuros said this is fine....had another MRA and thats said all arteries were fine...why the difference between the 2...Had TCD results were Right Ant cerebal //66cm p sec...L middle cerebral 71 cm psec..right ant cerebral 40 cm per sec....right vertebral 59 cm per sec..Basilar 59 cm per sec...........those are the only ones i have

..plus ..all blood work and CSF...wee done...for MS..LUpus and all that...may also have positve babinski on left foot...the team was discussing weather toe was truley going up?

Stroke Neurologist said to get C spine mri.....is it reall possible that something in the spine would do this.....The stroke team seems to think im crazy..by the way the neuro couldnt find weakness.....they said its subjective a feeling rather than true weakness...but sometimes i feel weak...and thoughts please im going crazy trying to sort this out

Based on what you have said the brain MRI, MRA's and TCD results were normal. It is possible for a problem in the cervical spine to give symptoms similar to what you are experiencing, and I would agree with obtaining a MRI. It appears the neurologic examination was essentially normal. I would agree with the MS evaluation, and lupus screen. Other connective tissue and inflammatory disorders should also be evaluated. Also a B12 level would be reasonable. Otherwise, my only advice would be to obtain a second opinion to ensure that what the first doctor found is correct. Good luck.
