Cervical MRI REsults

Hi!  I just had a MRI done and would like someone to explain this to me in simple terms.  The doctor I went to was very busy (there were 12 people waiting to go in after me)and just said I had herniated disc and some nerve involvement, and did I want to go for therapy or get a shot.
Findings:  There is no evidence of abnormal bone marrow signal replacement. There is loss of disc height & signal intensity at C4-C5 & C5-6 consistent degenerative disc disease.
C2-3 normal
C3-4 Diffuse disc buldge & small left proximal foraminal herniation w/o definite evidence of nerve root impingment.
C4-5 There is posterior ridging & a diffuse bulging with severe right & amild left foraminal narrowing.  There is bilateral uncovertebral joint spurring & right sided facet hypertrophy.
C5-6 There is posterior ridging & diffuse buldge the disc with bilateral uncovertebral joint spurring & facet hypertrophy resulting in bilateral severe foraminal narrowing. There is asymmetric left sided herniation into the proximal neural foramen. Correlation for symptomatology suggested.
C6-7 There is a mild bulge without evidence of focal herniation or forminal compromise.
C7-T1 normal
There is no gross evidence of abnormal signal within the cord, limited by patient movement. Cerbellar tonsils are within normal limits. No paravertebral mass is identified.
Impression multilevel disc bulging with small herniations & foraminal narrowing as above.

Will physical therapy correct this?  I am in no pain, just feel like I have a knot in the back of my neck. Will this get better?

Given that the report is a correct interpretation:

there seems to be wear and tear of the neck, with some narrowed openings for the nerves, but without significant symptoms (like weakness or sensory loss, bowel or bladder problems) the changes are not serious and are indicative of regaular wear and tear with age. Conservative therapy like PT or pain meds is the usual reccomendation.

Bone marrow signal changes with age and reflects wear and tear also. Disc bulges are present (again due to wear and tear) but none seem to be significantly compressing any nerves. The openings for the nerves to exit from the spine seem to be narrowed by bony spurs and vertebral joint enlargement (facet hypertrophy) again all from wear and tear

If the above symptoms I describe develop though, then you would need to get this addressed right away
