had a car accident about 3 weeks ago.  felt burning sensation in two parts of my back and felt like a rod sticking tru my vertebra in the above the shoulder blade area and mid to lower back with buning on left and sometimes right of my hip.  dr refered for an mri of lower only.  haveing so much pain in upper and lower especially when i stand for a period of time.  i'm in physical therapy no, very painful. sometimes more upper than lower.  worried because they didnt scan thorasic area afraid pysical therapy will do more damage.  lower mri reveiled minimal disc bulge secondary to degenertive disc disease and annuler narrwing can you tell me whats going on my doc says arthritis.  but i didn't have this until the accident help

It is likely that you sustained some soft tissue trauma as well as skeletal trauma from the accident - although I cannot comment on the severity without knowing more details

Signs that the spinal cord or nerves are involved or compromised include problems urinating, stiffness or weakness in teh legs, paresthesias or sensory loss in a 'band' like pattern down the arm or leg or across the chest. If you have or develop these symptoms you should seek medical attention ASAP. If not, it is unlikely that you have significant spinal cord or nerve related disease.

Thank you for the comment.  Phsical therapist said i had a rotated disk in the thorasic vertebra after 3 times of popping it i finally have same release of the pain,  but still fill the stiffness and soreness and some pain shooting in that area if i bent or try to reach over my head.  lwer extremities are very tight in the muscles and still have burning sensation in hip.  Will i still have problems out of the rotated disc or will this solve my problem, concerned about my future and do you recomend any form of erercise to aleveate this problem  thank you help
