Pearly Penile Papule like lesions at base of penis

by google86, Sep 06, 2007 01:11AM
Help!

Whilst recently shaving i hurt myself and realized i have a patch of inflamed skin at the base of my penis. There are a couple bumps and a couple of protrusions that seem like pearly penile papules. The protrusions are basically like little white tubes, less than 1mm tall, less than 1mm wide. They are hard(pliable but not popable). I can barely see them, i have to look at them sideways in order to see their shape. They are kind of arranged in a row.

I have yet to see anything that fits this description. I found a picture of early genital warts that was similar, but i am hoping it is not HPV and anyways, the lesions are way smaller.

Any help GREATLY appreciated!.

Hi,

This could be due to acne/imples/ or infection of the hair follicles called folliculitis or some bacterial infection/ fungal infction or some skin nodules etc.

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

It would be best to reconsult your doctor about your symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination.

Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.

You need to consult your doctor uregently especially since you mention that the lesions are growing.

Let us know about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
