MRI Findings

by 3boyzmom, Sep 06, 2007 04:46PM
Hi,

I rec'd a copy of my MRI findings today which were interesting.  There always tends to be a suprise with me.  I wasn't real interested in going back to the Neuro, but now it makes sense why he wants to see me.

Neuro update appointment is Sept 12, and now I think I know why Urol is holding me off until next week.

I have a cavernous hemangioma in my T5 segment.

The only other findings were this and I'm not sure if this means anything.

Brain:

1.  Symmetrical minimal increased signal intensity of the periventricular white matter around the occipital horns.  This could represent artifacts.

2.  The rest of the brain is remarkable

3.  Clinical correlation and correlation with laboratory data is needed to determine the significance of these findings.

Mystery continues.....

I don't know what it means either but I would sure want to find out if I were you.  I would make sure to keep that appointment.  Please let us know what you find out.

I'll be praying,
Carol

I have a hemangioma in my sacrum.  As long as it does not press on any nerves, my doctor said they leave them alone.  Does your report say that the hemangioma is pressing or "impinging" on any nerve roots?  Hemangiomas as I was told, are benign tumors or growths.  Good Luck!!
