Not Sure What This Is

I am VERY confused. I came back from the tropics 3 years ago and was diagnosed by Planned Parenthood with Molloscum Contagiousum. When I was in the tropics, a doctor there said I had folluculitis also.
I thought the Molloscum was gone, when I went back to Planned Parenthood 8 months ago, she saw some raised bumps on my bikini line and said, "Yes, that's Molloscum." I was devastated, because more than two years later it seemed to have come back. I have spent hundreds of dollars on internet potions, and nothing has worked, The rash has spread from my bikini line to my arms, my stomach. BUT, it does not look like molluscum in all the photos I've seen, it has never been a huge rash, just spots here and there.
Then today I go to the dermatologist and he says it is not Molloscum. BUT when I pop these things, they bleed alot, then swell up, so it is defintely something. It looks so tiny, the bump, so it is shocking when I pop it, a tiny flaky thing comes out (no pus or anything) then profuse bleeding, then the skin swells up pretty big. That is in my bikini area. On my arms, it looks like pimples with whiteheads, then when I pop them, they bleed alot also but they look different than what is on my bikini line.
The derm told me that Molloscum doesn't bleed (doesn't it?) and that this looked more like folluclitus. Does folluclitus bleed? But the bumps have bled ALOT when I pop them, and they have spread, so I am very confused. I am confused because what I've read on the internet say MC bleeds, and this skin expert says that MC doesn't bleed... Please tell in your opinion of Mollscum bleeds alot when they are popped.
The derm is doing a culture on the ones on my arms and I will know in two weeks, but any info you have in the meanwhile is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

By far the most reliable way to diagnose molluscum contagiosum is a dermatologist's opinion.  Since a dermatologist says you don't have MC, you don't have it.  Dermatolotists, and not STD experts, also are the best sources for diagnosis and information about folliculitis.  Yes, folliculitis lesions (and pimples) bleed; so do many other skin lesions.

In any case, no online distant source can tell for sure what you have, and I'm surely less expert than your dermatologist is.  Clearly you have no STD at this time, and that's where my advice stops.

Thanks for the thanks about the forum.  Best wishes--  HHH, MD
