medulablastoma malignant

Hello
in 1984 when i was 19 years old i had a malignant medulablastoma on top of my brainstem.
surgery, intense radiation was given to both brain and spine plus kemo treatment. I was told by my oncologist that most likely 20years from now i may have signifant problems, needless to say i am now 42years old and can no longer walk. all onset within the last 2 years. finally i was diaignosed with encephalmalacia, it has never been explained to me exactly what is really happening to me,only that it is degeneritive process that has began to take place with nerves. Can you please help me to understand what is really happening and is it progressive, this is very confusing to me!!
