I am a 45 year old male recently diagnosed with cataracts in both (otherwise healthy) eyes.  Not noticed in my left eye, but my right eye is beginning to bother me as my vision is increasingly blurry.  I am very nearsighted and have astigmatism.

I have always worn glasses and expect to do so in the future.

From my initial study, I doubt that I am a candidate or desire to select multifocal IOLs.  The aspheric toric IOLs seem like they may be a possibility.

Would you please recommend refractive surgeons/ophthalmologists in the Washington DC/Baltimore area to consider.  I initially consulted Reginald D. Barnes, Jr. M.D. who I felt comfortable with but do not know anything regarding his experience.

Thank you for your feedback.
