My husband had a cardiac cath and we were told he had a 70% blockage in a main artery and 30 to 35 % in two others. The Dr. that did the cardiac cath. does not do stents but he has recommended that a stent be put in. Is it common for a stent to be put in for a 70% blockage.

My husband just had the same thing.  He went into the emergency room with sever pressure.  We had him transferred to a heart hospital in our area where a good friend of ours is a cardiologist.  Our friend said he had a 70% blockage in the artery (I think he said in the front of his heart) and he put a stent in.  Just got out of the hospital yesterday.
