1 small bump on glans

by concerned96, Sep 12, 2007 01:48PM
For about 2 months now I've noticed a very small, hard, crusty white to flesh color bump maybe 1-2 mm in size on the right side of my penis right where the foreskin meets the shaft (not circumsized).  It's really not that noticable when I'm flacid, however when I'm erect it seems harder and crustier.  It seems like it would flake off but it is really stuck on there.  While there is no discharge, or blood or anything.  If I keep touching it it gets really senstive but stops when I leave it alone.  I am waiting for my appointment with the dermatologist to determine whether it's an STD or something else.  Of all the pictures I've looked at on the internet, I don't really see anything too similar to my case as most cases appear to have many bumps that are painful.  Or much larger bumps.  I've had one sexual partner for over a year now who is clean.  However I have received oral sex from 2 people at least 6 months ago and given oral sex once.  I have also had protected sex with a condom about 5 months ago and I do know if the bump had been there prior.  My one sexual partner is clean and got recently tested about 6 -7 months ago.  One other thing is I masturbate about 1-3 times daily so I waswondering if it could be irritation from that but I've masturbated all my life so I'm doubtful of that.  So I'm wondering what this bump could be I'm very worried it could be penile cancer or some STD.  Any help would be appreciated.

It does not sound lie an STD and certainly doesn't sound like penile cancer.  Much more likely to be related to friction, and masturbation can certainly do that.  I'd lubricate, minimize friction, and never rub or try to pull the scab off.  When you see the dermatologist, you're likely to get only good news.

Best.
