esophageal/pharyngeal problem

I'm intermittently experiencing a fluttering sensation in my throat with irregular heartbeat and spontaneous urge to cough. Saw ENT who said reflux, but couldn't explain cardiac symptoms. I've been researching online about irritation of phrenic nerve itself causing cardiac symptoms in some cases of reflux. Any experiences with this? thanks

I occasionally feel like there is a sever fluttery spasm in the back of my throat and ear. I cough violently and my eye on that side watters like crazy. Is that the same thing you've got? I've done some research and there is something called palatal myoclonus. it's a spasm in the soft palate. People who get it (it's fairly rare) can also get spasms at the same time in other places, like your diaphragm, face throat and tongue . All of that together could certainly cause coughing and other symptoms (maybe it can cause a spasm in the heart too? might explaing the irregular heartbeat) Now I 'm starting to sound like an episode of "House". I have to go to an ENT for eustachian tube dysfunction, I 'm going to ask him if he knows anything about this. I'll let you know.

Just curious, do any of you have restless leg syndrome too? It's related sometimes. I have RLS mildly too and I'm wondering if it has to do with it.

I've experiencing the same situation as you. I went to see the ENT which prescribe to me Rhinocort nasal spray. I don't really know why. It mainly states it's for sneezing and running nose. How can i take it for my throat when one of the side effect causes sore throat or throat irritations. Doesn't make sense. Please let me know when you come up with a cure (vice versa).
