10 year itch

I had a reduction 10 years ago and to this day I still have an itch in my right breast.  I've had no problems with the reduction except for this itch.  It is in the inside on the bottom above the lower scars and there is no lump, no rash or other external spots.  My surgeon has tried topical ointments and diluted shots of steroids.  NOTHING is working and he is giving up.  I thought it might be an old stitch that didn't desolve, but he says there is no way.  Any ideas?  This is driving me crazy!

It sounds like your surgeon has treated the area in a conservative appropriate manner.  The only other consideration would be a neuroma, but this might require surgical excision of additional tissue in the area of symptoms.  However, there is no assurance of relief of symptoms and the potential for some deformity in the area of excision.
