I have battled both bullimia and axorexia over the past 16 yrs.  I am now trying to find my way to a healthier way of life.  I am not out of the woods yet.  I am exercising at least 4 times a week.  I give you all of this info. because I recently had a fasting blood glucose level of 100.  I wanted to know if any of these previous factors could cause the elevated level (ie... not used to eating; w/in days of test eating carbs and sugar)?  I spent a couple of hours at the gym just prior to having my test done at well ( about 1 1/2 hr between).  I know this a lot to consider, I am just not able to speak with anyone, let alone a doctor about this issue.  I thank you for your reply.

Your fasting glucose level is not high. Glucose goes up from the consumption and absorption of  carbohydrates, regardless if it is in the simple or complex (high fiber) forms. When we do not take in enough calories to maintain normal health (becoming malnourished), our bodies start to break down and Glucose increases in the blood. I suggest you seek medical help with your bulimia and anorexia. They are complex diseases that need behavioral and physical attention that MDs can provide.
Thank you for your question.
