abdominal pain

by sweetcriminal, Sep 18, 2007 09:58PM
My 13 year old daughter has been experiencing severe upper abdominal pain during her soccer games.  She doesn't experience this sort of pain any other time.  She does however complain of frequent stomach aches.  We saw her physician who prescribed Prevacid and did a pulmonary function test due to asthma, which turned out normal.  Her pain is after extreme exhertion and she needs to be pulled from the game and lay down.  This will often help her, but the amount of time she can play seems to be getting shorter.  She is now experiencing this pain during practice also.  It seems to happen when she is running a lot.  I don't know if I should go back to her physician for more tests or to a physiatrist.  Any help would be appreciated.

i would definately go back to the doctor and maybe they can even refer you to a specialist of some sort.  that is not normal and if she is in that much pain and it's getting worse something must be going on.

good luck
