Elbow problem

by villain01, Jun 07, 2007 12:00AM
For about a few years now i've been having problems with my elbow and feet. The problem with my left elbow is when I flex my elbow straight to about 90 degrees my ulnar nerve shifts or pops over my medial epicondyle. My doctor said I may have something called ulnar nerve displacement or snapping triceps syndrome. I don't know what this is, can anyone help. Sometimes when this happens I feel a tingling sensation go through my hand and occasionally i have mild irritation around that area.  It's strange as it only happens in my left elbow. What's wrong with my elbow?

Also I have a problem in my feet with having a low arch. He said something about me having an extra bone in my foot and that the disorder was called accessory navicular syndrome. I've done some research on this but don't know if I should take the surgery to get it removed or stick with wearing orthotics the rest of my life.

Wow, i felt like I was reading a post written by myself!  I have both of those problems too.  My main concern right now is my ulnar popping out (left elbow).  I'm a pianist, and so I need to find an alternative to surgery (or a great surgeon!).  I've been accepted to graduate school at North Carolina School of the Arts, and it would be a shame to miss out because of my problem.  I was in therapy for 3 months and have been wearing a splint at night since that time.  While it has helped, I'm still experiencing pain.
Hopefully, we will hear from someone who has our problem and can offer some suggestions!
