im 21 damn it! i should be having a blast.... as much as i can i try to maintain a normal life but it always seems if i do go out and do somethin with friends even just to the movies a majority of the time i pay for it! this last friday 21st i went to a metal show!! hail satan!! hehe and had to leave early casue of my stupid back how am i not suppose to be depressed. thankfully there will be more shows and i can go see the 1 band out the concert that i missed again soon but that's not it. i guess thats an example! o man do i ahte my life tonight!

Heh heh...you sound like most people at that age. Heck, I was like that. I spent all my time trying to find the party. After hour clubs, bands, backstage passes, all of that.

I now am happiest just sitting home most of the time. And I can almost never remember any of the stuff I did during that time! I don't know if that helps, the idea that you might get over it, but...there ya go!

What city are you in/ near? Some have better night life than others. I'm in NYC, you think it would be great...but it's NOT like it used to be.

im not into parties! i just wish i could go to the movies anytime i want adn not have to be stuck at home cause of my pain...... things like that.... i enjoy my time at home i have been living like his since i was 16! was forced to drop out of highschool casue i was so sick! and had to have surgery however i did graduate through an adult education school. i just wish i could get up 2morrow and leave go on a road trip to visit an old friend just casue i want to and not have to worry about how im feeling! BLAH!!!

Oh baby, you break my heart.  I agree, this should be the time of your life.  I know we talked about alternatives to pain meds and how to better cope with the pain.  Have you thought about college?  Sometimes distraction is amazing.  Look into on-line programs, that way you can be at home if the pain is bad.   I got my first masters on line and it was great to be able to stay at home and learn.  Plus, you'll be so busy with studying and homework you wont have time to think about your back hurting.  Also, college is a very 21 year old thing to do :)~~
