hpv and concurrent infections

by carly99, Sep 25, 2007 03:28PM
i am female and diagnosed with hpv (which strains i do not remember) when i was 15. i had cervical dysplasia and underwent a procedure with no relapses. it is 7 years later and now my husband, who i have been with for three years has hpv genital warts. topical treatment has shown no results except irritating his normal skin. i looked at his infection (i am a medical student). he now has about 15-20 warty lesions and two of them look like they could be vascular lesions (kind of look like bacillary angiomatosis).

i took an HIV test about a year before i met him and was negative. i have never shown any other signs of HPV (no warts or any other irregular paps). i have been tested to gonorrhea. we are having the hardest time getting rid of these warts and now that i see these other lesions i am kind of concerned. should i be concerned? and of what?
thanks
