mid cycle bleeding and negative pregnancy tests

by long haired gypsy girl, Sep 26, 2007 01:21AM

This past month, I had FSH shots and my body overresponded.  However, by midcycle my dr did an ultrasound and said everything looked prime to try for a baby.  On the 18th day of my cycle i started to bleed- at first very scant traces of blood but by the 20th day i was needing to use a tampon.  The bleeding finally stopped on the 22nd day.  I have no clue whether this was a very early period or something else...could it be implantation bleeding?  I've also heard that some women bleed in the first three trimesters...can anyone give me some help on this?
I also have a question for a friend of mine.  She is 14 days late with her period and has tried 4 pregnancy tests all of which came back negative.  She feels that she is experiencing all the signs of being pregnant- tender, swollen breasts, fatigue, etc...could it be possible that she is pregnant and the tests are all missing it???
thanks for any words of advice
