PFO Issues?!

by mamanuss, Sep 26, 2007 12:26PM
I had a stroke in October of '06, and since most 29-year-olds don't typically have strokes, they ran a thousand tests and found a 1" hole in my heart. It was repaired with ease, but ever since the repair, I have had chest pain, tightness and weakness down my left arm.
My cardiologist has me on beta-blockers and that lessens the symptoms, but I can still feel when it comes on.
He feels certain, just through a second TEE, that it is just an agitation with the patch.
Is anyone out there familiar with this? It is a relief to know that there are people out there to talk to about this!!!
Thank you sooooo much!!
