Results of NCV/EMG

by Murray2, Sep 26, 2007 07:15PM
Sorry if I posted this to the wrong forum, but I was wondering if someone could possibly decipher the results of my test.  Thanks in advance:

Findings:

Right peroneal motor response had normal distal latency, mildly decreased amplitude, and severely slow conduction velocity.  Left peroneal motor response had normal distal latency, amplitude, and mildly slow conduction velocity.  Bilateral tibial motor responses had normal distal latency, amplitude, and conduction velocity.  F-wave latencies were normal.

Left superficial peroneal and right sural sensory response were absent.  Right superficial peroneal sensory response had normal amplitude and moderately slow conduction velocity.  Left sural sensory response had normal amplitude and borderline conduction velocity.  Needle EMG of selected muscles of both lower extremities showed no active and no chronic denervation changes.  There was no primary myopathic pattern.

Conclusion:

There is electrophysiological evidence of moderate sensory greater than motor polyneuropathy affection both lower extremities.  The pattern seems mixed.  There is no evidence of radiculopathy or myopathy.
