bioidentical hormones

by going4thin, Sep 28, 2007 08:06PM
I'm 47 and am starting to have menopausal symptoms.  I've read some books on bioidentical hormones and they sure sound better than the more traditional HRT's.     Does anyone have any experience taking them?

Based on a saliva test I took. My estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and cortisol levels were all low. I just started taking bioidentical hormones as of 4 weeks ago via compound creams. I understand it takes some time to build up in your system. I will lewt you know how it goes. There is also a great book on the subject by Uzzi Reiss titled "The Natural Superwoman"

I've been using bioidentical hormones for 4 years.  However, the delivery method is via implanting small estrogen and testosterone pellets in my hips every 3-4 months.  They work great!  I'll never do without them.  They drastically changed my life for the better!

I'll be glad to answer any more questions.
