Eating Boogers

by seattleguy1, Sep 29, 2007 04:09PM
I am 30 y/o and have been eating my Boogers for about 2 years now. Strangely enough, I have not been sick in those 2 years. A co-worker caught me eating  them one day in the bathroom and told me I was gross. I think he told others about what he saw me doing cause other people treat me different now.

My question is,
Should I stop eating my Boogers, or are they a health benefit for me. It is very addicting to eat your Boogers and I dont know if I could stop.
I have read others places on the internet that Boogers are a natural health benefit, because they introduce your body to bacteria.

BTW, I am not a pig. I am a good looking professional male.

Do any of you eat your Boogers?

Mate, most people wouldn't touch your question because even you know that the habit is socially unacceptable. If you are going to continue doing it, I'd suggest you do it in private because people are repulsed by it and of course they're going to treat you differently. Hey, when I saw a picture and story of Vince Vaughn in a magazine eating his boogers I never looked at him the same again!

Why would a 28 yr old man take up the habit in the first place? I'd change jobs and keep the habit under check!

Yeah others do it.  They are called little kids.

You will eventually stop. I've been eating my boogers since I was a child.. I used to do it alot, maybe 4 5 times an hr, now its like once a week maybe less.. Youll stop..If you really want to stop try eating something instead of your boogers... like mac and cheese,, they tase similar.. You just crave it.. it isn't a must..

Although it is socially unacceptable, I still do it, and recommend you do to... just where no one can see you... I've been "digging and eating" for about 5 years now, and since then I have yet to catch the flu or any other illness even though I live in flu central (Upstate New York). Picking your nose and eating it supposed to bolster you immune system with the dead and dying bacteria trapped in your boogers... If the rest of these losers are to close minded to consider all the possibilities surrounding this just because it's a feau pax  to partake in mucophagy (the act of eating your boogers) then they can just die of the up and coming super flu in 10 years for all I care, I'm gonna live to sea the year 2100... ;-D

i am a 16 y/o girl and i have picked my nose and eaten it all my life. my mom thought i stopped when i was 7 but i never did. sometimes i feel kinda gross for doing it but i really don't think i could ever stop. when i'm alone i am always picking, if not my nose than at scabs and the skin round my fingers (both of which i also eat). interestingly i always had the least days off from school being ill out of all my friends so maybe it is a health benifit!
