Clomid and Cervical Mucus

by milliques, Oct 02, 2007 11:54PM
Hi All,

I have little cervical mucus on my natural cycles and the nurse said clomid will reduce it further. I have had two failed iui cycles already, if you have any tips/suggestions for improving ewcm on clomid, please share.

Here are two things I have heard, 1-Robotussin (regular, not dm or anything) The robo thins out the mucus.  Also something called preseed (www.preseed.com )  Some drug stores carry it but not many.  It's easier to order it.  You can also order it from (www.babyhopes.com).   Hopes this helps

Same as pp. I used PreSeed. I only used 1/2 a tube instead of all. We used the whole thing like the directions said and it was WAY too much. Also, drink grapefruit juice or pineapple juice for the time before o and it helps increase cm naturally.

Thanks for your answers.

Preseed did not work for us :-(( and it is expensive too.

I am thinking of trying robitussin this time. ANy idea if estrogen levels are related to this in any way and should be checked?

Low estrogen would definitely affect cm negatively. The rise in estrogen is responsible for fertile cm.  Also, you don't need robitussen per se. It is the active ingredient guifesen sp? that you are looking for. I'm pretty sure you only take it the week b4 o and definitely not after o.
