Is this product safe to use? I have a hard time breathing and my lungs feel very irtated. I am required to use this on a constant basis everyday.

It is very possible that the cleaning agent in this product is irritating to you.  Different cleaning agents can be irritating to the mucus membranes and this is particularly a problem in allergic individuals.

If your lungs feel irritated then there is probably a suggestion. Asthmatic attacks can be fatal, and repeated exposures to an antigen can produce an increasing severity of reaction. As far as "being required" that is nonsense. I am sure there are alternatives that will not endanger your living. The federal disabilities act requires your employer to use all reasonable measures to assist you with your disability.  Be polite and bring this issue up formally with a principal in your company. Your first line supervisor is not a "principal".
