stroke

my husband had a stroke in the right frontal lobe 9/4/07. since then his behavior is monstrous and obsessive. he says very hurtful things, he only take cat naps even with strong sleeping medication prescribed by his doctor. he is also a recovering alcoholic. whn he was in the hospital he also suffered from hepatic encephalopathy and he had pneumonia. he is currently taking krystalose for the amonia build up and it's a fight daily to get him to take his medication. he take lorazapam to help with the mood swings, but almost daly he gets it in his mind that he's suppose to be somewhere and he will set outside in the car all day waiting for me to take him nowhere. any suggestions as to how i should handle him?
