Stomach Pain, General Concern.

by AJConte, Oct 08, 2007 09:47PM
I'm actualy unsure if this is indeed my stomach that is causing this problem that I have had for some time, but I'll fill y'all in anyway. Since I can remember I've had an issue eating/digesting food. I was never able to eat a lot because at some point during a meal I would feel full, then nausea, sometimes I would feel heartburn/indigestion/acid, and then I would get really bad pain in my abdomen that wouldn't go away untill I went to the bathroom. A lot of the times this pain was really bad, to the point where I'd feel as if I should go to the hospital (Never did..). As I grew up the pain became less frequent, and the intensity of the pain went down. However I still have (I'm 18 now) an issue with not being able to finish a meal, or eat without feeling nausea/heartburn/indigestion/acid in my abdomen. The reason I'm worried about this now is because I'm going to enlist in the Navy soon and I don't want this to be a cause of worry for me. I should probably go to the doctor, but I wanted to see if anyone else knows what might be the cause of this problem I have so I can be alittle more specific with my doctor.

A Gastroenterologist would be the MD to see and be able to help you. When you go, have him do an additional test for Celiac disease. Most of the time MDs do not do this test, however, it needs to be done to rule out Celiac disease. Good luck.
